Old Gnarly
+ My Favorites
This seemingly ancient tree attracts visitors because of its enormity - it measures 2.7m (9ft) in diameter! Old Gnarly is located along Section 2 of the Sunshine Coast Trail, and is accessible only by hiking to it.

The Giant Hulks
+ My Favorites
Once cruising the seas, these ten vessels float idly, linked together to form a man-made breakwater. Each of the Giant Hulks has its own history, some involved in trade, while a few were involved in battles. Now they protect the paper mill from the strong ocean waves, joined to create one of the world's largest hulk breakwaters.
Address: On the waters by the paper mill, near downtown | Powell River, BC
Powell River's Seawalk
+ My Favorites
This scenic 1km gravel path winds along the shores of Powell River, allowing walkers to fully explore the parallel that exists between the rugged forest and the dynamic seas of the west coast. The pathway is best accessed from the barge terminal just south of Westview's ferry terminal.
